This webinar showcased the development and impact of an innovative interprofessional simulation programme at Milford Care Centre, highlighting how simulation-based education can strengthen clinical practice, communication, teamwork and confidence in palliative care settings. Presenters shared the journey of establishing the programme, presented findings from a mixed-methods evaluation and the use of simulation to support implementation of the Palliative Care Outcomes Collaboration (PCOC) framework.
The webinar demonstrated the growing role of simulation in palliative care education and its potential to enhance workforce capability, improve interdisciplinary practice and support high-quality patient care. Participants also heard about future developments, including a pilot simulation programme focussed on applying PCOC assessments in interdisciplinary team practice.
