All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care, was awarded a grant from the Shared Island Civic Society Fund to fund the Compassionate Communities in Palliative and End of Life Care Conference which took place on the 9th of September in Newry.
The conference was held in partnership with Foyle Hospice and Irish Hospice Foundation. It provided the opportunity to explore positive, practical, and forward-thinking community-based solutions at a time when there is a growing demand for palliative care due to an aging population and more people living longer with multiple chronic illnesses.
